Welcome to the Hen Corner Bakery & Store

We are pleased to introduce you to the micro bakery at Hen Corner our urban smallholding at our West London home. Please see our Bakery Blog for regular updates and news. 

We have been been bringing Real Bread, along with honey and preserves, hand made with no preservatives, to our local community since October 2015 and have really appreciated your support over the years.

Who would have thought that our accidental bakery would have served so many customers over nearly a decade? I've just checked - It's 1,529 households! Running the bakery simply because local people wanted to buy my bread has been a real honour.

Looking forward, a priority for Hen Corner is to encourage as many people as possible to live sustainably through our courses, events and writing. This sadly means that we will no longer be running the weekly bakery each Friday.

We do, however, plan to have special bake days in the run up to both Christmas and Easter, allowing you to order the unique products that we've created (that you just can't get anywhere else) like our award winning Apricot Couronne.

Other seasonal products that don't need to be baked to order, such as honey, preserves, eggs and those popular Christmas puddings will be available to order online as soon as they are ready.

Allergies:

We use several products in the bakery and kitchen that are known allergens, for example: cereals that contain gluten (including wheat, rye, barley and oats), eggs, milk, tree nuts – such as almonds, walnuts, pecans and pistachios, sesame seeds and sulphur dioxide and sulphites (preservatives that may be used on dried fruit). 

We do our best to avoid cross contamination between products.

If you have an allergy or dietary requirements and would like us to exclude an ingredient from a recipe, please let us know...

We don't post, ship or deliver, we invite you to collect your products straight from our home!
