Back to Baking
Share
The kids are back to school and we are back to baking!
We've appreciated our summer break, thank you, and have had a little practise at some more complicated/time consuming bakes which we'd love to offer out to customers at some stage.
I've had a go at croissants again and was especially delighted with this new seeded sourdough loaf (pictured), the main challenges with baking this loaf on a Friday is that it takes 30 hours to make and is baked using a different technique which limits the number of loaves we can produce. Maybe I try to bake some one week and offer then up as spares...
Sadly we lost a few chickens over the summer, the heat took it's toll in more ways than one, but we are delighted to welcome quite a few new hens to the flock, so if you are coming for bread on Friday, do go and meet them and maybe order some of their Fresh Eggs...
We've started taking honey off the hives, it's very nice this year, and have got some Hen Corner Honey potted up in jars ready for sale.
Then making Courgette & Cumin Chutney was another project for last month, we just can't sit still can we :)
Katie & I are looking forward to baking for you again this Friday, so let us know what you fancy, by Thursday 5pm, and we can get started!
All products can be found by collection or by searching for your favourite,
Don't forget that all our loaves are made with organic flour and ethically sourced ingredients and everything can be frozen if you don't think you'll eat it all straight away.
Thanks and we hope to see you on Friday,
Sara & Katie
p.s. If you have any allergies or questions do leave a note on your order or get in touch ;)
