Thanks to all who joined in our birthday celebrations last week, we sold a mountain of bread, buns and cakes and marked the occasion in style...
Wonderful Katie has offered to bake her amazing Carrot Cake again this week, it's my favourite, and I'll be baking the Fig & Walnut Sourdough again as I didn't get a chance to taste it last week - I hope it was good, so many of you bought it!
Speaking of figs, we have a very large fig tree in the garden at Hen Corner and the fruit is just beginning to ripen, if the weather stays warm (and we can work out how to get them down) we should have a fabulous bounty available soon.
Alternatively, if it's Figgy Pudding that you are after, come and join us for Stir Up Sunday and make your own for Christmas.
Finally, some people have been asking for large tin loaves ideal for making sandwiches & slicing for the toaster, well we've ordered the tins and are offering a couple of varieties from this week. Photos to follow once we've baked them!
