Give us this day our daily bread...

Most of our customers will have heard our story; that we had no plans to open a bakery and that after training on an advanced course with Bread Angels, Katie and I planned to spend a day a month baking together to develop our skills and give us the opportunity to try each other's bread.

As we expected to bake more than we could possible eat, we decided to offer our bread to friends on Facebook, allowing them to have first choice of our bakes and then we would divvy up the leftovers. 'Once a month?' they cried, 'We want this every week!'

As I said, we hadn't planned to bake weekly for our community, but if they told us what they wanted in advance, to minimise waste, then we were happy to roll up our sleeves each Friday.

Now, nearly 4 years later, we are still baking every week and are delighted to meet new customers as they hear about us from their friends and neighbours.

Katie and I love baking for you, and after a day in the kitchen we look forward to those two hours when our customers come to catch up, chat and collect their loaves - a true community built around great bread.

We've had a bit of a tidy up of the online store to make it easier for you to find the products that you want. We've changed the collections to reflect the type of dough used and then you can choose the individual shape/size/product from there. We've got some lovely loaves that people don't seem to find, why not try something different and let us know what you think of the new categories...

If you can't find your favourite, just type it into the search bar - we want to make things as easy as possible!

So have a look around, let us know what you fancy (by Thursday 5pm) and we can get started!

Don't forget that all our loaves are made with organic flour and ethically sourced ingredients and everything can be frozen if you don't think you'll eat it all straight away.

Thanks and we hope to see you on Friday,

Sara & Katie
