We hope you enjoyed Half Term last week, thank you to all our recent customers - it's been very busy over the last few weeks (and we apologise for any errors that we have accidentally made).
Katie and I have been preparing to ensure that we are ready and on the ball for all that we can bake for you in the coming weeks. As a result, there are a couple of changes to ordering online which should help us all:
On the website, once you have chosen your items (just before check out) you will be asked to select the Collection Date from a drop down calendar. This will have in bold all the dates that we are planning to bake over the coming weeks, perfect for planning ahead to accommodate your holidays and our breaks :)
It will also show you that over the Easter weekend, we won't be baking on Good Friday (30th March) as it's a Bank Holiday, but will be baking the day before on Thursday 29th March.
Whichever date you select will be confirmed, along with our address for collections, on your confirmation email!
As always, we ask for orders to be placed by 5pm the day before we bake allowing us to plan the baking schedules and start the sourdoughs. The new ordering system will no longer accept orders after 5pm the day before you want to collect, so do let us know what you fancy earlier in the week.
If you realise that you've missed the 5pm deadline, do look out for our spare bakes that we post on our Facebook Group on Friday afternoons, I'm sure we'll have something available that you'll like!
Just to get your mouths watering, we've crunched some stats and here are our four most ordered products in recent months:
- French Baguette Crispy organic French baguettes (as taught by Richard Bertinet). See if you can get them home without tearing the end off for a nibble!
- Classic Sourdough We cultivate natural wild yeasts to create an organic sourdough starter which encourages a slow gentle ferment that develops the classic complex flavours that makes this loaf wonderful fresh and fantastic when toasted.
- Cinnamon Swirl *Finalist in the Urban Food Awards 2016* A sweet enriched dough rolled up with butter, sugar and cinnamon. Sliced into swirls and lightly iced after baking - these have proved addictive for many of our customers!
- Chocolate Chilli Squares An indulgence gooey chocolate treat with a kick of chilli that brings a warmth. Gluten Free to be enjoyed by all...
