This beautiful weather, that's been around for several weeks, looks like it's here to stay a bit longer...
Yes, it's jolly hot baking in this heat, but careful planning to utilise the cooler mornings and our large fridges help us to continue to create artisan bread week in week out.
We've got just three more Micro Bakery Fridays before we close for our summer break: 6th, 13th & 20th July.
We will then be closed throughout August, as usual, allowing us all to have a well deserved break, opening again on Friday 7th September.
With this warm weather, why not opt for simple meals, eaten al fresco if you can, that require minimum cooking in the kitchen. Our bakes can form a great foundation to easy breakfast, lunches or suppers. Don't forget that everything freezes perfectly, so keeping a good stash in the freezer makes for easy meal solutions.
Great Breads for Summer:
Olive Fougasse & Focaccia - Great with pre-dinner drinks, BBQ's, picnics, with a platter of cheese or cold meats, or simply with a lovely salad.
French Baguette - The perfect staple for every meal. With jam for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, warmed and sliced to accompany supper, with cheese after dinner...
Almond Twist - Our favourite breakfast treat. Katie & Sara both keep a stash in the freezer and defrost/warm as and when required. Fabulous for morning coffee with friends, perfect for afternoon tea :)
The hens are laying well so we have lots of Fresh Eggs available and if you want the perfect condiment to serve with your BBQ don't forget our 'Jelly From The Telly' Apple & Chilli Jelly.
As regular customers know, the new ordering system will no longer accept orders after 5pm the day before you want to collect, so do let us know what you fancy earlier in the week.
If you realise that you've missed the 5pm deadline, do look out for our spare bakes that we post on our Facebook Group on Friday afternoons, I'm sure we'll have something available that you'll like!

Don't forget that all our loaves are made with organic flour and ethically sourced ingredients and everything can be frozen if you don't think you'll eat it all straight away.
