Our new season of the Micro Bakery at Hen Corner is under way...
September is a wonderful time in the city, we try to steal the last few summer's days and delight in all that harvest time has to offer. Here at Hen Corner we record all the food that we gather from the garden and log it into an online Harvestometer. Our running total, since 1st Jan, is nearly £1,000 and that's before we've collected the honey from the bees or picked the apples from the trees...
Urban Food Fortnight starts this Friday, 9th September, and is a celebration of food produced here in London, check out some of the special events both here at Hen Corner and across the city from this link.
We are continuing our Great British Bake Off specials, see 'Biscuit Week' below and don't forget that all our loaves are made with organic flour and ethically sourced ingredients...
On top of our regular bakes, this week's specials (Friday 9th September) are:
- Bake Off Special: Katie's Hob Nobs
- Soda Bread of the Week: Maple Pecan
- Rye of the Week: Caraway & Fennel (with wheat & rye flours)
All other products can be found by collection or by searching for your favourite.
Whilst our official opening times are 5-7pm, we do try to finish our baking earlier than that, so if you would like to pick up by a certain time, do leave a note on your order and we will try to plan our baking to allow that.
As always, please can we have your orders in by 5pm on Thursday (5pm Wednesday if you would like a Rye Loaf and/or salads/herbs from Cultivate London).
