Oops! So much for last week's announcement of Spring just as snow starts to fall again...
Fortunately, the hens are fine in the snow and just huddle together with their fluffy feathers to keep warm and the bees cluster together around the queen in the hive passing stored honey and pollen back and forward to feed the young.
Never fear, the sun will come out tomorrow, or later in the week, and we are still preparing for Easter.
Another bird, aside from the chickens, that you can meet at Hen Corner is Colomba Pasquale, our Easter Dove that represents the peace of the Holy Spirit. It's an Italian celebration bread, similar to Panettone, soft and light, studded with Italian citrus peel, fragranced with orange oil and Disaranno and decorated with sugar and almonds.
After our launch of Katie's delicious Hot Cross Buns last week, they are now available for 2 weeks more and come as either Traditional or Cranberry & Apricot.
Advance Notice: To ensure that you've got fresh Hot Cross Buns for breakfast on Good Friday, our Easter Bakery will be on Thursday 29th March (not Friday). This also allows you to stock up on all you'll need for that lovely long weekend.

- London Honey We are very proud of our own honey and are also delighted to partner with local award winning bee keepers to offer you a variety of local London Honey.
The new ordering system will no longer accept orders after 5pm the day before you want to collect, so do let us know what you fancy earlier in the week.
If you realise that you've missed the 5pm deadline, do look out for our spare bakes that we post on our Facebook Group on Friday afternoons, I'm sure we'll have something available that you'll like!

Don't forget that all our loaves are made with organic flour and ethically sourced ingredients and everything can be frozen if you don't think you'll eat it all straight away.
